On this occasion, District Administration Kapurthala has planned to organize Baisakhi Mela at kanjli District Kapurthala on 23rd April  where   one can find vivid and vibrant colors of rural Punjab. Happy with the harvest and the ensuing prosperity, It is planned to celebrate Baisakhi fair with joy and gusto. District Administration has planned for mapped out  Various activities Baisakhi fairs for people to celebrate. The Purpose of the fair  is  to develop the world famous Kanjli Wetland as a tourist destination.

Activities Done in Baisakhi Mela

This is a very popular festival in Punjab. In this, the entire family participates and gets involved in different activities. The most fascinating features of Baisakhi Mela are bhangra and gidda performances which are the local dance of the Punjabi. Other activities that entice people are  singing, fancy dress competition and many more. The majority of them also enjoy the cultural festivals by famous singers who sing and play folk instruments.

This mela will be highly enticing as it features many stalls which sell beautiful stuffs. About 50 stalls would be set up by different departments at their level.
