Vision Document

The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India held a Video Conference with the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts of India on Wednesday, August 09, 2017, in which he shared his vision for the development of India, and called upon all the Deputy Commissioners to give their inputs, which shall form the basis of framing a credible policy document or a vision document. The policy document of any district will spell out its developmental needs and aspirations and will help facilitate its focused and structured development, year after year.

In this connection, the worthy Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab held a Video Conference with all the Deputy Commissioners in the State of Punjab on October 25, 2017, asked the DCs to prepare a five-year Vision Document (2017-2022) for their respective districts outlining the following:

1. The current status of various activities and development indicators in the district.

2. Targets & Priorities

Accordingly, a meeting was held with the district heads of various State government departments on Friday, November 03, 2017, wherein the officers were briefed and were requested in turn to spell out the five-year vision of their respective offces/departments. The inputs so received were collated and compiled and analyzed. These departmental inputs formed the basic information based on which the District Vision Document (2017-22) has been prepared.
